Apple is expected to unravel new iPad Pros in April though there were concerns on which variants will be seen. The 10.5-inch iPad Pro, the recommended buy for consumers, was initially believed to be coming in at a later date due to the production schedule. It seems that things have changed.
Though most of it were predictions, Digitimes reports that production for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro has been bumped up its production schedule and could be appearing alongside the 9.7-inch iPad Pro in April after all.
If so, this authenticates the call made by analytics firm Firksu who claimed in a previous post that there will be four variants at the Apple April event. The fourth one is believed to be the smaller 7.9-inch iPad Pro variant which most believe would replace the exit-bound iPad Mini 4.
As far as the 10.5-inch iPad Pro is concerned, the word out is that it will be similar in size to the current 9.7-inch tablet. It will gain a meager 0.8-inches in the diagonal screen with Apple reportedly doing away with the left and right bezels, 9 to 5 Mac reported.
If the 10.5-inch iPad Pro will come out with fewer bezels, rumors tied up to a possible edge-to-edge display are likewise taking shape. This the same screen display that the upcoming iPhone 8 will reportedly carry.
Looking ahead, it will be interesting if Apple will have an ample supply of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro variant. Seen as the recommended choice, demand for this iPad Pro variant is expected to be high since it is technically one for personal and business use.
Only 1 million 10.5-inch iPads will reportedly be made per month, small numbers compared to the 9.7-inch where production will be at 3 million per month. The 12.9-inch variant, designed for business and commercial use, will come in at a later date with production starting in either May or June.
