"Harry Potter GO" videos went viral on YouTube recently and many fans found themselves interested in an augmented reality game inclined to J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. Unfortunately, "Pokemon GO" Hub did their research and proved the game videos to be utterly fake.

Leaving many fans to their chagrin, Pokemon Go Hub was able to dig up the truth about these YouTube videos featuring an augmented reality game entitled "Harry Potter GO" based on J.K. Rowling's masterpiece.

Engadget previously reported on this highly anticipated game and revealed that many Potter-heads are looking forward to an augmented reality game where they can battle fellow wizards in the real world.

It was later proven that the YouTube videos showcasing this promising augmented reality game "Harry Potter GO" were utterly fake. Moreover, it was later revealed that Niantic is not working on such a game title either.

After some amount of research, Pokemon GO Hub was able to conclude that the fake "Harry Potter GO" trailers were made by Stargaze Media. The channel did not stop at one video and even took their little hoax to the next level by uploading another video.

The second clip featuring the fake game was called "Harry Potter GO Let's Play." While the latter did feature promising in-game aspects which sparked the interest of many fans, the fact that it is nothing but a hoax still remains.

As a result, an online petition was started in the hopes of getting the attention of Warner Bros and Niantic. The said petition's goal is to present these companies with the potential of an augmented reality game based on "Harry Potter GO." At present, the petition entitled "Accio Harry Potter GO: We Want A Harry Potter Version of Pokemon GO!" currently has 65,000 signatures, five thousand short from their goal.
