Blizzard's trial with the first-person shooter(FPS) genre seems to have taken off pretty successfully with the game seeing an increase in total player count, day by day. With successfully procuring an own competitive tournament, "Overwatch" seems to take on the likes of "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" and other competitive FPS giants that have been fairly old to the industry by years now. Blizzard entertainment, the developers of the game will be releasing a new character to the game.

With the announcement of Orisa, the new female hero to the game, "Overwatch" has received a fair share of praise from the reviews and other analysis. Orisa is a robot with four legs, capable of shooting long-range targets thanks to her arm cannon and can also suck enemies at a certain distance. The story was picked up by PCWorld who also happened to report latest events related to various games.

Coming to "Overwatch's" presence elsewhere, there were ongoing rumors as to whether the developers had any plans of introducing it to the latest Switch console from Nintendo. Jeff Kaplan, the game's director said it would be a real challenge for "Overwatch" to be ported to the Switch console. "Getting Overwatch on the Switch is very challenging for us, But we're always open-minded about exploring possible platforms," Kaplan said in a Reddit thread.

An in-depth write-up on GameSpot also revealed that Jeff himself is personally enjoying, using the Switch console and also happens to be a fan of Nintendo products. That said, a multi-player first-person shooter like "Overwatch" that also happens to hold a competitive value to it would certainly be unimaginable for gameplay on the Nintendo Switch.

"Overwatch," has continued to attract daily visitors to the game and has now registered 25 million players even if it hasn't managed to sell a lot of copies. This might be due to the exclusivity of the game tied to the Battle net client itself since more people rather opt for buying it on more general game clients like Origin and Steam.
