Nintendo Switch is an instant hit because of its innovative games and user-friendly interface, but there are many cons that the company has to deal with the hardware issue. Nintendo Switch users are also constantly reporting that they have to deal with the Switch's dock which is a necessary piece for playing games on TV. In order to address this problem, one of the YouTubes shared a video describing how to play Nintendo Switch on TV by ditching the dock.
The process of playing games on TV by ditching the dock includes two extra components, a USB-C cable and a separate stand for the console. The cable extender goes from the dock slot to the bottom of the console which then sits on the external stand. Then all you need is to put the switch console on its stand and connect it to the TV by using the extension cable.
The tricky part for setting the console without the dock is connecting the female end of the USB extender into the port at the bottom of the dock, where you keep the Switch. It can still be wobbly even when you get it right. The video even described that it will occasionally pop out too.
Although the solution is quite imperfect for the players, but it is better than letting your Switch screen all jacked up in the dock. This method also requires an official Nintendo Switch stand offered by the third party. The compact play stand that is recommended by the video will be available at $13 on order with an expected shipping date at Amazon.
The benefit for this solution is to protect the expensive gaming console from unnecessary scratches. Meanwhile, the users can connect their TV to the console without having to buy a rare and expensive extra dock for Nintendo Switch. All they need is to buy an HDMI to USB-C cable and attached it to your console, as per Kotaku.
