OnePlus 5 is rumored to launch with amazing specs which are expected to directly compete with the Samsung Galaxy S8. The device is expected to launch with the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will boast a dual edged curved display similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is due to be launched this month with a 5.1-inch and 6.2-inch curved Super AMOLED display, which will be having a superb QHD+ resolution. OnePlus 5, on the other hand, is also said to sport a 5.5-inch dual-curved edge AMOLED display; however about resolution, it is yet to know.
The latest Android Nougat based Galaxy S8 and OnePlus 5 will be launched with the latest Snapdragon 835 as it is the latest processor from Qualcomm. Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to include an Exynos 8995 SoC or the global markets variants, as per Gizbot.
OnePlus 5 is also rumored to sport 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, as reported by Indian Express . While the Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to feature 4GB RAM.
The OnePlus 5 is set to arrive with a 25MP snapper and a 12MP secondary lens at its rear. There could be an 8MP front camera too. On the other side, the Galaxy S8 might be launched with a 16MP main camera with 4K video recording and a 12MP front-facing camera with wide-angle lens.
One Plus 5 handset may also roll out with a Ceramic body just like the Xiaomi Mi MIX. Earlier this month, the company has also rolled out the OxygenOS 4.0.3 update for its current phones in the market, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T handsets. The Android 7.0 Nougat has brought optimized Smart WiFi Switcher and increased camera stability in the current phones, according to Korea Portal.
The OnePlus 5 is expected to come featuring a glass and aluminum body and a USB-Type C connector. Additionally, a 128GB internal storage variant might also be launched that may be expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card.
Price plays a major role in the whole comparison. But we are yet to know how much these smartphones might cost as it is very early to predict the same. But while keeping the track record of both companies in mind, one can be sure that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be way too expensive than the OnePlus 5 as the same will be priced competitively for the features it will be packed with.
