“Boruto: Next Generations” official website released its second promotional video on Monday ahead of its April 5 premiere. Besides featuring the opening theme song of the anime, “Baton Road” by KANA-BOON, the trailer provided fans of the manga series a peek at the upcoming anime series. It begins with the simple struggles of Boruto while he grew in his neighborhood.
Returning Cast. Its April 5 premiere on TV Tokyo follows the airing of the finale of “Naruto Shippuden” on March 23. “Boruto: Next Generations” would feature the returning cast from “Naruto Shippuden” and “Boruto: Naruto the Movie,” while Noriyuki Abe, episode director from the well-loved anime that would end, would serve as chief director, Anime News Network reports. The series’ ending theme song, “Dreamy Johnny” is performed by The Peggies.
iDigitalTimes reports that “Boruto: Next Generations” is set in the village of Konohakure which continues with its modernization while enjoying peace. It is an era when ninjas are no longer needed, but Boruto decides to study at the ninja academy amid the “Hokage’s son” label on him. Since the “Boruto” manga encompasses “Boruto: Naruto the Movie” shown in theaters in 2015, the new anime, based on the second trailer, will not begin where the movie left off but in a new arc.
Hint Of Boruto. Reports note that anime fans were given hints of Boruto in the “Boruto: Naruto the Movie” where he was teamed with some genin ninjas. He tried to succeed in the Chunin Exams so he could face Naruto Uzumaki, his father. But “Naruto: Next Generations” is set in another timeline.
Besides Boruto, Sarad and Mitsuki, “Boruto: Next Generations” would introduce a new character who was seen in the second trailer. He is the dark-haired male youth wearing blue clothes.
