Apple is expected to release their latest tablet offerings, the 2017 Apple iPad, sometime within the next few weeks or so. New reports that have recently surfaced are confirming this speculation as several iPad models are apparently already being tested around San Francisco and Cupertino. Interestingly, Apple may be coming out with not just three new variants of the iPad tablet, but most likely four new models.

Several new iPad models have been spotted while being tested in Cupertino and nearby locations, as per the mobile marketing firm Fiksu. This report is potentially confirming earlier rumors of a planned iPad refresh arriving this spring. According to Phone Arena, new data gathered from Fiksu reveals that four new iPad models are being sent out for testing. Data taken directly from the company's logs shows that the four models are carrying the internal names "7,1" "7,2," "7,3," and "7,4." This is similar to the "6,3/6,4" and "6,7/6,8" model which names were spotted a month before the launch of the Apple iPad Pro last year.

Moreover, the four models that were revealed to have been installed with a mix of the iOS 10.3 beta and the iOS 11 operating systems. And a leaked investor note from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo have mentioned previously that Apple will update its 12.3-inch iPad Pro model, and also launch a new 10-inch or 10.5-inch model with a narrower bezel along with a budget-friendly 9.7-inch option, as per Tech Crunch.

Both the 10.5-inch and 12.3-inch iPad Pro models will feature the Apple's latest A10X chip. On the other hand the budget-friendly 9.7-inch model will sport with the A9 chip that is similar to the ones found on the iPhone 6s. Kuo has also speculates that the 9.7-inch model will expected to be taking 50 to 60 percent of the overall sales generated to the new models.

However, yet there is no concrete information on the actual 2017 Apple iPad models that will be releasing. Apple is speculated to unveil all of their new products sometime within the month, most probably without any type of major announcement.
