The Mobile World Congress has just been held in Barcelona, Spain and it ended with numerous revelations from different smartphone companies including Apple, Microsoft, Nokia, Lenovo, and much more. Recently, Motorola's Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus specs and features are officially announced at the event, together with its pricing and release in India this month.
Other than the announcement, the design and overall concepts are refreshed for the upcoming new flagship from Motorola. The smartphone will have a circular frame at the back while a metal chassis builds up the case, Gadgets360 says. Here are the specs and features we know so far:
Specs and features
Moto G5 sports a 5-inch display while G5 Plus has a 5.2-inch display. The common thing between the two smartphones is the resolution, which is 1920x1080 pixels. According to UberGizmo, the previous versions of the said smartphone is operated on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 while the new and upcoming ones will have the latest Snapdragon 625 processor. In addition, the RAM variations will be up to 3 GB RAM while the storage will come in 32 GB for the Moto G5 and 64 GB for the G5 Plus. Moreover, both the said smartphones are expandable up to 128 GB.
Price
Moto G5 is said to be priced between £150 to £170 for the UK and, according to PCAdvisor. Moto G smartphones are budget phones so it would be a surprise among patrons and customers that the said smartphone will cost more than that, regardless, if there is a new addition and to make up for the costs to publish such flagship on Motorola's part. On the other hand, Moto G5 Plus is said to be priced at $229 unlocked, the same source mentions.
Launching the smartphones in India
Moto G5 and G5 Plus will be sold between Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 19,700. Until the smartphones will be released in various markets, India is on the main target for both Moto G5 and G5 Plus smartphones.
