Apple's iPhone 8 is the most anticipated mobile release in the market with its new designs and features. However, the company recently decided to rule out the supposed new curved OLED display of iPhone 8.
MacRumors reported that IHS Markit analyst, Wayne Lam said that instead of using curved OLED display, Apple would go to the flat design for iPhone 8. This is prior to the current 2.5D glass design as we have seen in their previous iPhone models like iPhone 7. "Much like the recently announced LG G6, we anticipate a touch screen with a new longer aspect ratio design to take advantage of a higher coverage area of the iPhone in its entirety," Lam said.
With this update, many buyers will surely be disappointed as they hoped that Apple was prepped to follow the Samsung's dual curved OLED Edge display. Though iPhone 8 will no longer feature the design, there is still a chance that it will be a big hit in the market.
Aside from the news of the supposed curved display, iPhone 8 will have its new and improved features. Having a 5.8-inch edge-to-edge OLED display, Apple might feature a 521 pixel-per-inch that is higher than the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones.
Wireless charging is one the biggest and newest change in iPhone mobiles. iPhone 8 would have a long-range wireless charging technology, however, there are some reports that Apple might use inductive wireless charging instead. Nevertheless, whatever they feature, it is still an exciting for the buyers. Together with this, buyers could expect for the better battery life.
A revolutionary 3D-sensing front camera that allows facial recognition and biometric to unlock the device are one of the features of iPhone 8. In addition, enhanced Siri features and improved IP68 rating for water and dust resistance are expecting to be included in the iPhone mobile. However, Apple announced that instead of September 2017, iPhone 8 would be able to launch until late October or early November of this year.
