Xbox One News: Microsoft To Update Gold March 2017 Games & Add Xbox One & Xbox 360 Titles To Download

Mar 13, 2017 08:36 PM EDT

Xbox One Gold Member have until March 15 to download a free copy of “Project Car” and “Borderlands 2” for owners of Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. By Wednesday, Microsoft would add two new games, but one would be available for one month and the other for 16 days only. “Evolve Ultimate Edition” would be available from March 16 to April 15 on Xbox One, while “Heavy Weapon” would be available on Xbox One and Xbox 360 but only from March 16 to 31.

April Games Announcement

With the updated list, Xbox One owners who are Gold Members have four free games they could download in March. By next week, Microsoft is expected to announce the free April games, Express reports. Four new games were also added in March for Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program, one of the exclusive features of Microsoft to help boost its 2017 exclusive lineup.

“Heavy Weapon,” one of the free games for Gold Members, is a retro style game that complements its classic shooter action and brutal, addictive gameplay. It has story-based missions, online co-op, and a survival mode that will give players chances to exhibit their gaming skills. “Evolve Ultimate Edition” is an adrenaline-pumping 4v1 first-person shooter in which a player controls a powerful monster which must be evaded and outsmarted.

Backwards Compatible Games List

Fans are seeking for the inclusion of “Call of Black Ops 2” in the completed Backwards Compatible games list. The game is one of the latest big titles from Xbox 360. Only four games have been added to the program for Gold Member even if it is almost the middle of March. These are “Cars 2: The Video Game,” “Dead Rising 2: Case West, “Dead Rising 2: Case Zero” and “Meet the Robinsons,” Express adds.

Meanwhile, besides its update for Gold Members, Microsoft head of Xbox Phil Spencer says the next big gaming console would be the Xbox Project Scorpio that would have 6 Teraflops of graphical processing power, 4K gaming, and high-fidelity VR. Like the PlayStation 4 Pro, the home console is expected to cost between £350 and £400, Daily Star reports.
