Following the announcement by Blizzard Entertainment that “Diablo 3” Season 9 would end on March 17, the game developer says that Season 10 would see the debut of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In a blog post, Blizzard explains that the end of a season would mean the wiping out of all leaderboards for seasonal characters. It would also lead to the characters transitioning to non-seasonal characters and paragon levels carrying over.
Biggest Change
However, the biggest change when “Diablo 3” Season 10 begins would be the game being available on the two game consoles. Heavy notes that before the next season starts, Blizzard must first address the widespread hacking issues that hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. While seasons, in which players create a new character and play it only for a fixed period of time, could be done only on the PC version, cheating is rampant on consoles.
Cheating On Consoles
According to Kotaku, console players, by exploiting the Gem of Ease, allows them to power level characters swiftly by using an item which grants increased experience per kill. Since the Gem of Ease could be hacked, players who cheat could earn more experience than should be possible. It is these cheating methods common in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One that should be addressed by Blizzard before “Diablo 3” Season 10 debuts on consoles.
Blizzard Entertainment says that players of the game before the current season ends next Friday and “Diablo 3” Season 10 starts, there is no need for them to delete any characters to leave the room because their Seasonal heroes would continue to use the same slot it currently occupies in their roster after the rollover. Gold and Blood Shards earned would be transferred to the non-Seasonal heroes. Paragon experience total amount would be rolled over, not the raw total amount. Items equipped on a hero’s inventory would remain with the hero as it shifts to a non-Seasonal game mode. Anything earned on Hardcore Seasonal heroes would transfer to Hardcore non-Season heroes.
