‘Grand Theft Auto Online’ Latest News & Updates: Migration Of Old Saved Game Versions Coming To A Close On March 7

“Grand Theft Auto 5” continues to flourish with Rockstar ramping up features before the next version. Some continue to play the game both offline and online with provisions to use old files players started from previous editions. All that may come to a close soon with GTA Online save transfer options coming to a halt on March 7, 2017.

The migration of old GTA game files was one of the highlights for “Grand Theft Auto 5”. This meant that players were able to pick up from where they left off before, negating the need to start from scratch. But as most are probably aware, it will ultimately come to a point where Rockstar Games would have to put an end to it, the last day of which will be on March 6, Attack of the Fan Boy reported.

This would include “Grand Theft Auto 5” game transfers from the PS4 to the Xbox One or even from the Xbox One to the PC. For those clueless on how to migrate old saved game files, you can check out this link from Rockstar Games as a guide. For hardcore gamers who have yet to upgrade, this should be fair warning unless you want to start from scratch to play the game.

This development comes on the heels of a planned massive update by Rockstar Games for “Grand Theft Auto 5”. Multiplayer updates are said to be in the works, ones that will pick up from content updates the previous years that include cars, wardrobe, and weapons among others, Game Zone reported.

There is growing belief that these new updates for “Grand Theft Auto 5” may be among the last waves for the franchise. Rockstar is expected to go full throttle on “Red Dead Redemption 2”, another game title that is expected to come out in the Fall.
