The reveal for "Fairy Tail Dragon Cry" gives fans a glimpse into some scenes that will heavily influence Natsu's fate. The lead character had always been impulsive and gives priority to his friends over his own life. Natsu has been shown to wield immense power which he will very likely to use to save his friends. Meanwhile, Lucy will do what she can to stop him.
In the latest trailer for "Fairy Tail Dragon Fly," Natsu X claims that he does not care about what had happened to him before. The teaser shows that the power could be the cause of destruction or a beacon of hope. This movie will surely take fans on a journey that they have never been in before.
Anime News Network reports that while "Fairy Tail Dragon Cry" takes inspiration largely from Hiro Mashima's original manga in its final arc, Mashima himself will also be serving as executive producer. He has been at the helm for creating the storyboard for this upcoming movie. So far, he has already contributed 193 pages, including where Natsu Dragneel transforms into a dragon as seen in the trailer.
According to Tripped Media, other than being a masterful movie in itself, "Fairy Tail Dragon Cry" is also set to feature an all-star cast. Some names to expect would be Tetsuya Kakihara, Yuichi Nakamura, Rie Kugimiya, Aya Hirano, Satomi Satou, Yui Horie and Sayaka Ohara. There are other stars to expect but are yet to be announced.
Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine announced way back in May 2015 that "Fairy Tail" would get a second anime film. The anime which is being shown on television has also revealed that a new project is already being worked on. This upcoming movie "Fairy Tail Dragon Cry" is expected to air in Spring of 2017.
