Both Nintendo Switch and Wii U versions of newly launched “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” are compatible with Amiibo and support Amiibo Functionality. It means players could use several figures from the game to perform various features. The total number of figures from the game compatible with Amiibo is 13.
Figures Compatible With Amiibo. The compatible figures from “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” are Link, Zelda, Toon Link, Sheik, Ganondorf, Guardian, Link (Archer), Link (Rider), Wolf Link, 8-Bit Link, Zelda (Wind Waker), Toon Link (Wind Waker) and Link (Ocarina of Time). Wolf Link adds Wolf Link as a companion for Link, while the last four Links generate a random number of barrels, random selection of plants, random number of fish and random number of meat, respectively.
Summoning A Wolf Link Partner. According to IGN, when Wolf Link Amiibo is tapped while playing “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” the gamer would be able to summon a Wolf Link partner character from Twilight Princess for assistance. It would also help to scavenge and in combat as well as hunt and track other wildlife that would provide the player with food. On the other hand, the Shrine Sensors on Wolf Link would also look for the player nearby shrines.
When Wolf Link summons the Twilight Princess rendition of Link as a companion, it is based on the number of hearts unlocked in the HD version and tied to Amiibo saved. The Archer Link unlocks a bunch of fish and a Knight’s Bow item. A bundle of fire arrow is unlocked by the 30th Anniversary Pixel Link. Eurogamer says to get Epona, the horse companion of Link from Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, and Twilight Princess, Amiibo Aoif is involved. But similar to other 3DS and Wii U games, “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” players cannot use the same Amiibo two times in one day, Destructoid reports.
