Mar 01, 2017 07:56 AM EST

Japanese video game manufacturing behemoth Nintendo Co Ltd is definitely on all fours now as it is about to launch one of the most awaited gaming platforms this year — Nintendo Switch. But if this anticipation is going to be based on the most recent information most news outlets have already gotten, it appears that its fans are definitely in for a treat.

Nintendo reveals that gamers can expect a massive lineup of games on Nintendo eShop as soon as Nintendo Switch gets launched days from now. This assurance from the veteran gaming giant comes after the company which has been working closely with independent developers and publishers just to provide a steady flow of one-of-a-kind game titles to the firm's eShop.

Nintendo's own website has also shared that there will be more than 60 quality indie games that are slated to come for Nintendo Switch this 2017 alone. And as the forthcoming gaming platform goes, most of these games would take advantage of the console's unique features such as multiple play modes, flexible control options, local and online multiplayer, along with the innovative JoyCon functionality.

During its "Nindies Showcase" video, Nintendo has highlighted some of these gaming iterations that are now in development. These include "SteamWorld Dig 2," the up-to-date Bit.Trip game "Runner 3," and the 16-bit "Shakedown Hawaii," that is dubbed as the "spiritual successor" of "Retro City Rampage". All of these games will either be released during summer and fall. Another game that was announced to be coming later this year is "Wargroove," Chucklefish's Advance Wars-like strategy game, as cited by Gamespot. The entirety of this "Nindies Showcase" video can be viewed here.

The full list of these "exclusives" can be viewed via this link. The Nintendo Switch system is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2017.
