'Ark: Survival Evolved' v255 Update Brings New Dinos

Mar 01, 2017 05:57 AM EST

The v255 update of "ARK: Survival Evolved" is finally here after some short delay. Studio Wildcard had worked more hours to finally bring this highly-anticipated update to the game.

According to the ARK Community Forums, "ARK: Survival Evolved" v255 update brought two new land dinosaurs in the game: Thylacoleo and Microraptor. Thylacoleo would have a special purpose on ambushing creatures while Microraptor would prove that what matters more is skills.

Microraptor, based on its name, is obviously a small bird-dino and it is smaller than other flying beats. Despite this, Microraptor would be useful to "ARK: Survival Evolved" players for its incredibly fast and aggressive moves. Players could tame one and use it to attack riders.

On the other hand, Thylacoleo is a marsupial lion that could climb trees. Thylacoleo possesses a powerful bite that could be used by "ARK: Survival Evolved" players in ambushing creatures including the winged creatures. What could be better for this creature is it can carry a saddle that could be beneficial for tribes.

Express has also reported that "ARK: Survival Evolved" v255 update has two other dinos besides the first two mentioned. Unlike Thylacoleo and Microraptor, these two dinos could be found in the ocean.

The Electrophorus may look like an eel because of its structure and defense mechanism but it is actually a long knifefish. It could electrocute its prey that could be useful in attempting to tame larger aquatic creatures in "ARK: Survival Evolved".

The other dino, the Ammonite, could also prove its usefulness to the "ARK: Survival Evolved" players. The creature larger than a human being is protected by other sea creatures and it could worth hunting for its shell and bile.

Other features of the "ARK: Survival Evolved" v255 update are the new three structures namely TEK Tileset, TEK Doors, and TEEK Forcefield. The force field feature could be used to keep wild dinosaurs at the bay.

The "ARK: Survival Evolved" v255, as posted in the Steam forum, also mentions Rocket Launcher and C4 rebalance, 30 additional Explorer Notes, new hairstyles, new per-Tribe Dio Tame Limit, fixes and improvements to the game, and more. Tune in for more updates.
