The recent Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona has unveiled a lot of interesting announcements on various products. It is in no doubt that the biggest releases so far are the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus, LG G6, and Sony Xperia XZ Premium.

These three high-quality anticipated handsets are aiming to be widely considered as the flagship tech. Robert Triggs of Android Authority weighs in how Huawei P10 and P10 Plus, LG G6, and Sony Xperia XZ Premium weigh in.

He first commented on the fact that Sony Xperia XZ Premium is sported with the Qualcomm's next generation Snapdragon 835 processor. The Verge has reported that it is the first handsets to have the chip, even before the debut of it inside the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. However, customers would have to wait for the extra performance boost as the XZ Premium's release data is just stated to be in Spring 2017.

On the other hand, LG G6 is still having its predecessor spec 821 model. Huawei's P10 will have a HiSilicon chip.

While other manufacturers chose the QHD LCD panels, Sony Xperia XZ released its second 4K capable smartphone which has 801 pixels per inch display, WIRED has reported. Unfortunately, the phone could not afford it which could lead to itself overkilling. Sony would probably limit the occasions the display runs at its full resolution to the playback of 4K videos so that it could not drain its battery.

LG G6 has also its attempts to have a display on an 18:9 aspect ratio with its sleek looking rounded corners. Both LG G6 and Sony Xperia XZ have HDR capabilities with their new display. It could mean that it can increase its color depth (10-bit vs 8-bit RGB) when playing a media content. On the other hand, Huawei P10 has a 1080 p panel while the P10 Plus has QHD.

For Triggs, it is a takeaway for the Sony Xperia XZ Premium or Huawei P10 and P10 Plus. However, LG G6 has its own edge compared to the two phone: it could look like the best when it comes to features. You can read the full comparison at the Android Authority.
