A new character would be introduced soon in the Blizzard Entertainment team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game “Overwatch.” In a tweet on the “Overwatch” account, an image was shared along with a message on the destruction of OR15 defense units with an unidentified assailant at Numbani airport. The report adds there were no civilian casualties.
Adawe Foundation Grant Recipient
Za.IGN notes that Blizzard also introduced a few days ago 11-year-old Efi Oladele, the recipient of the Adawe Foundation’s grant for impressive achievements in artificial intelligence and robotics. Efi Oladele, in a character interview earlier this week, cited OR15s which are the same units seen in the new teaser for “Overwatch.” She was also quoted as saying, “"I want to create things that make our lives better. And someday, my dream is to build something that can keep us safe, like the new OR15s! I think that would be great.”
Because of what she said, some “Overwatch” players believe the new character would either be Efi Oladele herself or one of her robotic creations. Express believes it is not Efi Oladele but a robot she is building that would be the new game character. The basis of its theory is a shopping list of items that the girl needs which are included in the Twitter tease.
List Of Things
According to GameSpot, the list of things that Efi Oladele needs to build a robot is a UR-15 chassis, Bradford arm, fusion driver, miniature Tolbelstein reactor, paint, and Lucio-Ohs. She canceled Axiom vocal processors on the list of items needed to make what is believed to be the new character for “Overwatch.”
The game website notes that the airport incident is a fake news story. However, Jeff Kaplan, director of Blizzard Entertainment, teases fans of “Overwatch” by saying the new character is “not who you think it is.”
