Epic Games’ ‘Battle Breakers’ A New Tactical RPG That Will Hit Mobile and PC

Recently, "Battle Breakers" was announced at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) by its developer Epic Games; a new Unreal Engine 4-powered role-playing game that will soon be available on PC, iOS, and in Android. It was revealed on Monday at San Francisco, California.

"Battle Breakers" was already endured in a limited soft launch for the iOS users in the Philippines where it is free-to-play with optional app purchases. Fresh from GDC, the game will be soon available on both desktop and mobile; including iOS and Android that will feature a cross-platform play.

However, there isn't worldwide release has been scheduled yet but the Epic Games keep saying that "Battle Breakers" will eventually come out within this year. For mobile users, they can now pre-register their accounts and receive an exclusive in-game hero.

According to Donald Mustard a worldwide creative director at Epic Games from the reports of Venture Beat, the director claimed that his developer team has an idea that if ever they will put together their passion from a Sunday Morning cartoon into a tactical turn-based RPG; they can create something cool and unique, that's the birth of "Battle Breakers."

"Battle Breakers" is a game that was seeded from a battle strategy games concept such Fire Emblem and Pokémon along with the game's crystal-breaking theme that makes it slowly becoming popular. Crystal will fill your mobile screen by cracking it above your hero character that reveals rewards like treasures and sometimes enemies, according to Gadgets. "Battle Breakers" uses a concept of a childish cultural game rock-paper-scissor-and stone when it comes to battling with five different elements which allow players to determine whether their character is in an advantage or disadvantage situation.

"Battle Breakers" will be portrayed by endless designs of colorful heroes including archers, ninjas, reapers, and robots with their pets. Players can experience unique battle arenas such as lava fields, sheer mountains, ice sheets, and ancient forests. A player must master all the elements to defeat enemies using different strategies like smashing crystals to unlock hidden treasures. "Battle Breakers" playable version will be displayed in public this week at Epic Games GDC booth along with Epic Games' State of Unreal presentation this Wednesday, March 1 at exactly 10 AM EST in Moscone.
