Last August, MediaTek revealed the Helio X30 which is a deca-core SoC intended for mobile devices in 2017. The company revealed at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain that this chip Helio X30 is now finally acquiring mass production that would make its appearance in stores within this year.

MediaTek's first mobile chip built on a 10nm manufacturing process was Samsung Exynos and Qualcomm Snapdragon. This new Helio X30 consists of two high-end ARM Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.5GHz, four mid-range ARM Cortex-A53 cores that run at 2.2GHz with four conservative Arm Cortex-A35 cores the in line at 1.9GHz.

As reported by PR News Wire, Helio X30 SoC has also an Imagination PowerVR Series7XT Plus GPU that points at 800MHz that was tested to be 2.4 times faster and 60 percent more energy saver than the Mali-T880 MP4 found in the Helio X20. Helio X30 SoC supports a display resolution up to 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and up to 8GB RAM combined with two 14-bit image signal processor that supports a 16+16MP dual cameras; as MediaTek claimed that it will stand for advanced functionality such as wide+zoom combination lenses for real-time depth of field effects, real-time-de-noise in low-light situations, and fast auto exposure.

The Helio X30 SoC of MediaTek also applies CorePilot 4.0 which is a set of developed task scheduling technologies engineered to increases power efficiency; that makes a device less prone to incidents such as overheating and lagging which can boost the speed of everyday tasks like gaming and browsing. According to Android Police, all of this specification was made to deliver a 35 percent increase in terms of performances and usability with more than 50 percent power savings compared to MediaTek's previous generation chip.

For those who are not familiar with MediaTek, it is a global semiconductor company that facilitates almost 1.5 billion connected devices a year which they ranked as the market leader in developing an innovative system on a chip or commonly known as SoC for home entertainment, mobile devices, and connectivity products.
