The second and final major of the "Dota 2" before the next International Dota World Cup will arrive is now facing serious problems; The Kiev Major. The upcoming event was recently reported to have some severe issues such as ticket scalpers, changing event dates, and travel issues.
Last year's December, it was revealed that the Kiev Major will be marked in calendars from April 20-23 but Valve moved it back to April 27-30 for the sake of conflicts with the other tournaments which is the "Dota 2" Asia Championships 2017. This tournament will take its place from April 1-4 giving it a full three weeks of preparation, sounds like a plenty of time but both regional and open qualifiers can consume at least a week that leads to a hectic schedule.
The location of the next "Dota 2" major will be in Kiev, Ukraine that's why it is called The Kiev Major. Famous international competitive players such as Natus Vincere's Danil Dendi Ishutin and the whole Virtus.Pro team came from the country that's why Eastern Europe has been given to host the event for its long history of the game. Unfortunately, Russian teams are now having a hard time in making it to the major.
According to Reddit, some Russian fans craved to attend the upcoming "Dota 2" Kiev Major. Ukraine's current military status between Russia prohibits most people from crossing each border, whether a car or even a plane. Recently, the U.S State Department defines the situation in Ukraine as unstable and warns people that it sometimes it's so unreliable.
As statements claimed by Travel State Gov, Ukrainian "Dota 2" fans have been positive and tried to ease those issues but the travel problems can't be denied as for those Russian fans wanted to attend a major tournament that's so close to their country. Ticket scalpers, also known as ticket resellers have gone out of control. From the day the tickets went available, thousands of fans from social media protested that they can't see the purchase ticket screens, even the reserve seats for the upcoming tournament.
RIP Kiev Major. Scum buy all tickets for 20 min's...
I live in Kyiv and can't go ;(

Well, this isn't the first "Dota 2" major that Valve has been faced with issues in a major event. Last Shanghai Major has been one of the memorable mistakes in terms of technical and talent aspects. Even though these issues have been blocking the upcoming event, still The Kiev Major will be two months away from now.
