The most awaited update for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is finally rolling out to its users. Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge owners on T-Mobile could finally get the Android 7.0 Nougat software update.
T-Mobile will be the first major US carrier to release Android 7.0 Nougat software upgrade on the two Samsung phones Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Other carriers expected to release the update are Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint.
Last November, Samsung launched its Android 7.0 Nougat Galaxy Beta Programs for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. It would allow users to test out the improvement and difficulties of the software's features before it gets an official release from carriers and partners.
Reports said that Samsung revealed the news through its beta notices board in the Galaxy Beta app that the T-Mobile would be the first one to get an Android 7.0 Nougat software update in the future.
Android Police reported that the T-Mobile has started to roll out its Android 7.0 Nougat software update to Galaxy S7 Edge devices on the networks running under the Samsung's Galaxy Beta program software. It is expected that it would also be released on the Galaxy S7. It was released last Feb. 16 through over-the-air.
Samsung said that they are confident of the response of their users with the update. They are also positive that their other projects like the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus would be a success.
The two 2017 flagship smartphones of Samsung is expected to be kicked off at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. It is expected to have its launch date on Feb. 27.
