Maybe one is a clumsy phone user and one has a tendency to drop the phone. Or maybe one's teens tend to go through at least three phones a year because some way, somehow, they just find their phones’ displays shattered and cracked. Then maybe it is high time to chuck the Samsung and get a Droid Turbo 2.
According to a print ad that tech blogs have gotten a hold of, the Droid Turbo 2 may be the answer to all clumsy phone users’ screen-shattering predilections: The Droid Turbo 2 sports a shatterproof screen, and it is also very teen-friendly. The Droid Turbo 2 can be customized via the Moto Maker, which allows a user to add color to the Motorola device.
The leak was first posted by DroidLife, according to Engadget. With the leak are photos taken of creased magazine pages featuring the phone. According to the same DroidLife post, Motorola and Verizon will announce the Droid Turbo 2 on an Oct. 27 event, which will also reveal more information regarding the Droid Maxx 2.
In a report by GSM Arena, the Droid Turbo 2 may sport the same specs as the Moto X Force:
Processor/Chipset: Octa-core processor made up of a 2 GHz quad-core A57 ARM Cortex chip and a 1.5 GHz quad-core A53 ARM Cortex chip, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 SoC, 64-bit
RAM: 3 GB
GPU: Adreno 430
Internal Storage: 32 GB, 64 GB
Connectivity: GSM, HSPA, LTE, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac
Expandable Storage: microSD, up to 128 GB
Display: 5.43-inch QHD display
Cameras: Primary: 21 MP; Secondary: 5 MP
Battery: 3760 mAh non-removable battery
Goodies: Shatterproof display, a trade-in promo with up to $300 worth in rebates via Verizon
Color Options: Customizable via Moto Maker
In short, the Droid Turbo 2 is a great phone for those who value durability and would not mind the price tag that comes with the premium device. We bet the Moto fans cannot wait for Oct. 27.
