Shutterstock, Inc. (SSTK), a leading global provider of commercial digital imagery. Over the decade, there have been over 20 million images hosted and can searchable worldwide. For the first time in 2013, Shutterstock had surpassed $230 million in revenues, and $103 million in gross profit. The company is a leading global provider of high-quality licensed photographs, vectors, illustrations and videos to businesses, marketing agencies and media organizations around the world. Working with its growing community of over 40,000 contributors, Shutterstock adds tens of thousands of images each week, and currently has more than 30 million images available.

"Given the growing percentage of mobile traffic and the reach of Android devices worldwide, Shutterstock's Android app is another way we're simplifying image search for our customers," said VP of International, Gerd Mittmann.

The Mobile Age of Shutterstock may have just finally arrived. Last year, the company announced the launch of an Android mobile app. Shutterstock’s Android mobile app expands the Company's mobile offering and allows customers to search for images on the go. Shutterstock Android app users can access features such as browse Shutterstock's library of photos, illustrations and vectors, search by keyword to find images of any subject, view unique content curated by Shutterstock editors and curate and share image lightboxes.

"We've found mobile to be an increasingly important platform for designers and marketers to search and discover beautiful imagery. They use these devices in brainstorming sessions, at night or on the go," said VP of Product Wyatt Jenkins.

The market for pre-shot commercial digital imagery will grow from approximately $4 billion in 2011 to approximately $6 billion in 2016. Shutterstock is the brainchild of Jonathan Oringer, who has said that he got the idea of starting the company after noticing that stock, or canned, photos were too pricey. He bought a camera and took 30,000 photos with it, and Shuttertsock was born. Shutterstock licenses photos and videos from 50,000 individuals, most of whom are amateur photographers who get paid a mere $0.25 per image use. The process of screening uploaded photos to find suitable ones that meet the company's stringent requirements is handled by its 345 workers and 100 contractors
