Zendesk's $700 Million Valuation After IPO Zendesk offering would average $8 to $10 a share. Zendesk for Android lets users stay on top of customer requests and updates with real-time access to Zendesk anytime, anywhere without a laptop or desktop. Android features include easily view, update, and create new tickets, configure ticket fields, and add comments for follow up. Zendesk, Inc. announced last month that it has acquired Zopim Technologies Pte Ltd.

The acquisition will provide customers with new options for purchasing and using Zendesk and Zopim together. “Real-time chat has become the foundation for how customers want to communicate online today. It is convenient for customers and makes companies more approachable to more people,” said Mikkel Svane, founder and CEO of Zendesk. “Zopim has a proven track record of providing tools for proactive engagement. Most importantly, the Zopim team shares our belief in building products that are beautifully simple and easy for any company to use.”

The company is a cloud-based customer support start-up which sought a $700 million valuation in its initial public offering. WSJ reports the firm is part of a wave of so-called cloud services that have benefited as businesses shift to using more applications on the Web. Its software helps companies manage customer-service issues that come in through email, Twitter, phone calls and chat conversations. Zendesk has more than 40,000 customer accounts, which pay between $1 and $195 a month for each employee using its software, according to its website. For 2013, the company posted a loss of $22.6 million, compared with a loss of $24.4 million a year earlier. However, last year its revenue increased 88 percent to $72 million.
