Samsung's Tizen Phone Is Set To Debut In Q2. According to Reuters, Samsung was working to introduce at least two smartphones running on its own Tizen operating system, a major step in the market leader's bid to break out of the Android universe. Google's Market in Android Wearables are comprised of 61 percent of smartwatches as of last year. The Samsung Galaxy Gear gained the majority of Android smartwatch shipments. The efforts aimed to develop its own ecosystem for Tizen instead of depending on Google Android.

The company had sold more than 10 million S4s in its first month and is expecting stronger sales for S5.  The S5 phone features a water resistant and outstanding camera power mode for users. The Galaxy S5 phone features Android 5.0 ‘Key Lime Pie’. It also features an 2GHz Octa-core processor, featuring a 5.2 inch screen and offering easier navigation with multi-touch capacitive and a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. ‘Smart Eye Tracking’ and RAM 4GB are also integrated. The highly popular smartphone has a fresh design and attractive features such as sensors with a strong operating system. Both phones are integrated with a fingerprint scanner.

Google’s recent deal with Samsung does indicate positive outlook for the Android wearable market. Google and Samsung’s deal from earlier this year included a cross-license deal for future and existing patents over the course of the next 10 year. The focus is aimed at innovation. This will also bring opportunities for future technologies such as wearables and expanding on collaboration in R&D.

Google’s Android OS will host a significant number of existing apps with the new technology. The Tizen app store will launch after the Tizen smartphone. Tizen may become a great alternative to Android. There are challenges such as it could become threat to Google’s users. Google and Samsung signed a cross-licensing deal recently which was for intellectual property. The successful launch could indicate a departure from Samsung.
