Tian Lim, Hulu's New CTO and Android

Tian Lim was recently appointed as Hulu's New CTO. Hulu launched a successful slew of Android device services for its consumers in the last few years. Hulu is the best place for world-class builders. Tian has experience leading engineering teams, most recently as SVP of Product Engineering at Sony Network Entertainment International. The company currently has over five million Hulu Plus subscribers.

The company is confident in its future. There are close to 50% of subscribers streaming exclusively on Android and other devices. Hulu currently has 30 million monthly users on the free Hulu service. Hulus hiring of its new CTO is to enhance and improve to deliver the best user experience possible across every platform from  mobile and to the web.

The future of Android and TV also is impacted by Kit Kat. Kit Kat was to influence TV and mobile video. Android's fragmentation, with Kit Kat offering lower priced devices may cause unification. Smart TVs are still nascent but the opportunity to capitalize on the consumer market is substantial. Consumer rate of smartphone purchases are high.

Hulu Plus includes Seven Android Tablets. For Android, there is a super deluxe Hulu Plus user interface. Hulu Plus also includes select Android smartphones, including the Motorola Droid Bionic, Motorola Droid 3 and tablets. Android users can download the free Hulu Plus app at the Android Market. Hulu Plus subscription is available for $7.99/month. Other Hulu Plus enabled devices include Droid II, Motorola Droid X, and the Motorola Atrix in Android Market.

The Hulu Plus App offers the best of Hulu’s shows. Android users can instantly watch the most current TV shows and movies. Popular shows include: Family Guy, Revenge, Glee, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, SpongeBob, Marvel and more. Android users can view shows over WiFi, 3G, and 4G.
