Tian Lim was recently appointed as Hulu's New CTO. Hulu launched a successful slew of Android device services for its consumers in the last few years. Hulu is the best place for world-class builders. Tian has experience leading engineering teams, most recently as SVP of Product Engineering at Sony Network Entertainment International. The company currently has over five million Hulu Plus subscribers.
The company is confident in its future. There are close to 50% of subscribers streaming exclusively on Android and other devices. Hulu currently has 30 million monthly users on the free Hulu service. Hulus hiring of its new CTO is to enhance and improve to deliver the best user experience possible across every platform from mobile and to the web.
The future of Android and TV also is impacted by Kit Kat. Kit Kat was to influence TV and mobile video. Android's fragmentation, with Kit Kat offering lower priced devices may cause unification.
