LG L Series III To Be Unveiled At MWC

LG on Monday announced the L Series III line of mid-range smartphones that all come running Android 4.4.2 KitKat straight out of the box. The new phones represent the third generation of LG’s L Series devices and are geared for consumers looking for sleek and modern design touches without the added expense of features like LTE or an octa-core processor. 

The L Series III will be officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 later this month in Barcelona.

“In addition to inheriting the refined design aesthetic that is synonymous with LG’s premium devices, the L Series III provides an array of user benefits that extend far beyond a simple upgrade,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company in a press statement. “From the design to the OS to the UX, the L SeriesIII exemplifies LG’s commitment to bringing the best smartphone experience to as many consumers as possible. We’re confident that the L SeriesIII will be a strong volume driver in 3G markets.”

The LG L40, L70 and L90 range in screen size from 3.5 inches to 4.7 inches and while pricing has not yet been announced, the handsets do a pretty faithful job of cloning the looks of a typical, high-end Android smartphone.  

“Key elements of LG’s design heritage can be found in all facets of the visually striking L Series III smartphones. The seamless layout, delicate finishing, refined metallic frame and Quick Window smart cover all come together perfectly in the L Series III,” the company said.
