LG’s second annual Innovation Festival (InnoFest) kicked off this week with the company showcasing a variety of products at exhibitions in the Middle East and Africa. Described as a “traveling roadshow” InnoFest 2014 will make stops in Europe and Asia before wrapping up in April.

New products to be demoed include the G Flex line of curved smartphones, as well as LG’s mammoth 105-inch curved Ultra HD TV.

“LG InnoFest is an opportunity for us to focus on the many relationships we cultivate around the world with the retailers and distributers who believe in the LG brand and have made us a household name in every region,” said Kevin Cha, regional head of Middle East and Africa for LG Electronics in a press statement. “LG’s success was built on the company’s ability to deliver localized solutions to a diverse global audience and events such as InnoFest are critical to our continued success.”

Though InnoFest doesn’t make as big a splash stateside as WWDC or the Samsung Developers Conference, LG hopes its traveling product showcase will build awareness for its 2014 offerings ranging from smartphones and smart TVs to air conditioners and refrigerators.

“LG InnoFest, an annual event now in its second year, represents a crucial platform for reinforcing LG’s position in the global consumer electronics and appliance industries, as well as responding to local market needs under LG’s brand identity theme, ‘It’s All Possible,’” the company said.

LG has reportedly been working hard to increase its market share, particularly for its smartphone business. On Wednesday, the company confirmed the much-anticipated LG G Pro 2, and while the flagship smartphone is slated to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month, it wouldn’t be inconceivable for the handset to start popping up in leaked photos from InnoFest before the official roll out.
