The Home Depot released its very first version of a mobile app for the retailers Pro customers. The Android app available for download at Google Play allows users and Pro customers to browse and shop for over 600,000 home improvement products: appliances, bathroom, decorating ideas, kitchen remodeling, patio furniture, tools and more.
Home Depot’s Redbeacon aims to match home owners with services for its mobile app. The mobile application for Android is poised for further expansion. Redbeacon was acquired by The Home Depot in 2012. The Android app was launched last year, recently it has integrated mobile payments in 2014.
The company is seeking to expand its mobile channels to remain competitive within the app store marketplace. The Redbeacon Android app qualified services with specific homeowner job requests. In a partnership with company, Fiksu the company aims to further improve its acquisition strategy, geotargeting, downloads and reduce costs.
The Home Depot app for Pro Customers lets users view all of Home Depot’s inventory at multiple stores at the same time. The Android app for Home Depot's features a Pick Up In Store and Ship to Store options. The app features gives users the conveniences of placing an order on homedepot.com and subsequently picking the same item(s) at a Home Depot store location. This feature not only saves you shipping charges but also helps expedite projects faster.
The Home Depot Android app allows users to browse over 400,000 products, find a store location, Buy Now Pick-up In Store, Buy Online, Ship to Store, scan bar codes, locate in-store maps/aisles, access Home Depot accounts and watch How-To and product videos. Users also have the option to text APPS to HDEPOT (433768). The text APPS option allows users to receive a one-time SMS text message that includes a link to download the mobile application.
