Salesforce1, is the new unified next-generation CRM platform specifically designed for developers, software vendors and customers. Salesforce.com is currently #1 in CRM. The Salesforce1 Android app connects to third-party services such as Evernote, LinkedIN and Dropbox. Salesforce company is immersed with Internet of Things (IoT). The company has $3 billion in annual revenue and growth rates. FY 2014, Salesforce revenue expectations will be $3.82 billion to $3.87 billion range. Deferred revenue was $1.86 billion, up 35 percent from a year ago. Unbilled deferred revenue was up 39 percent to $1.8 billion in the quarter. Services revenue in the quarter was $49.18 million and subscription and support sales came in at $785.5 million. The stock has ranged in price between $51.35-$52.62.

Salesforce.com unveiled Salesforce1 as a way to unify through its platform the development of mobile and social applications. Salesforce1 is described as cultivating the "the Internet of customers," in relation to "Internet of things." Salesforce1 is an API-first environment. According to Salesforce, Salesforce1 has over 10 times more APIs and App services. The APIs are an expanded set of all of Salesforce’s product offerings. The company is also leveraging the platform as a way to better engage with its communities. Developers are able to build mobile apps through Salesforce1 AppExchange. The Private AppExchange also integrates with Salesforce1 AppExchange where customers are able to integrate over 2000 apps on the appexchange and manage their own private app store. There is also an admin component which enables users to create customized actions through Force.com's Visualforce.
The company just recently announced last Monday its two $1 Million winning teams for the Salesforce1 Hackathon. "Thousands of developers joined our first ever Salesforce1 Hackathon and we take their feedback seriously. We want to demonstrate the power of the Salesforce1 Platform with fair, open, and transparent hackathons that show the future of apps," said Alex Dayon, president, Applications and Platform, salesforce.com. "The developer community has been very active in sharing its expectation to make this competitive process better.” More than 4,500 developers registered to compete for the biggest single hackathon prize ever, with more than 150 submitted apps -- all built on the Salesforce1 Platform.
The Salesforce1 app for Android is available at Google Play. Salesforce1’s app can only be accessed via a web browser. The web/HTML5 version for developers can be used to debug Visualforce pages. Publisher Actions are automatically enabled prior to appearing in the Salesforce1 Android application. Visualforce offers Android developers a way to benefit from customized application of Salesforce1. Chatter Mobile lets Android users experience all of Salesforce through the Salesforce1 Mobile App. The app is available for devices with Android OS 4.1 or earlier.
Salesforce’s new "be a customer company", “Internet of customers” theme was presented in big data, mobile, social and cloud. Salesforce.com currently has a market cap of $31.1 billion. According to ABI Research, the number of users of enterprise smartphone and tablet apps are expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of nearly 90% and exceed 830 million by 2016. Salesforce1 is available free as automatic upgrade for existing Salesforce customers.
