Some other strange names have leaked including GPAD, G Hub and G Glass. It’s not clear what all of these are referring to, but LG seems to putting a great deal of effort into creating a trademark “G” brand. What that means for rivals like Samsung, HTC and Apple isn’t clear. Once the LG G2 is out, LG will likely begin work on the Nexus 5 which will bear very similar specs to the LG G2.
According to TechnoBuffalo: “The LG G2 is expected to come quipped with a 5.2-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera.”
It will be interesting to see what the expected price point of the device is, given that the Moto X has undercut the Nexus 4. The Nexus 5 is sure to be affordable but given the specs it will have to be more expensive than the Nexus line normally is, if the Nexus 7 2 price is anything to go off.
