Jun 28, 2017 08:39 AM EDT

The OnePlus 5 has to get its second OTA update within a week of its release. While the smartphone has received the OxygenOS 4.5.1 update on the day of the global introduction, the company is now rolling out the OxygenOS 4.5.2 update for the OnePlus 5. The latest update is only 36MB in size and previously appears to be rolling out in India too. The OxygenOS 4.5.2 brings frequent fixes and optimizations, but no new features. It features build number A5000_22_170624.

The latest OTA update, which is pushed to the OnePlus 5, is not the promised stabilization for 4K recording, according to GSM ArenaThe latest second OTA update bumps OxygenOS to 4.5.3 and offers bug fixed for dropped Wi-Fi signal, a Google Translate hiccup, and a fix for the expanded screenshot feature. Moreover, tweaks and optimizations have been made to the System, Camera app stability, and auto-brightness adjustment.

The fixes in the latest update included in OxygenOS 4.5.2 for the OnePlus 5 include patches for an 'app installation issue' in addition to 'system update failure'. Optimizations include changes for the camera, Bluetooth stability, network stability, system stability, and third-party app compatibility, as reported by NDTV.

To recall, the OnePlus 5 gets quite a few additions on the software side. These additions include features like App Priority, Reading Mode, Expanded Screenshots, Translucent App Drawer, Auto Night Mode, Off-Screen Gestures, Customisable Vibrations, Gaming DND Mode, and Secure Box.

It is fascinating to see the manufacturers pushing the frequent updates to their offerings during the early days of the OnePlus 5's launch. It reveals that the company is committed to delivering a smooth experience to the consumers and don't want to make them wait for weeks or months to get the essential fixes and optimizations.  The update is 54MB in size, but the user can manually check for the update by heading into Settings > System Updates > Check for Updates.
