Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Matte Black Color Variant Launched In Hong Kong

Xiaomi has released the Mi Max 2 smartphone in China last month in Gold color. Now, Xiaomi has launched Matte Black color variant of Xiaomi Mi Max 2 in Hong Kong. The country will be the first one to be selling a new Matte Black variant of the smartphone.

For those who are planning to purchase a unit, it's worth knowing that currently, only the 64GB Xiaomi Mi Max 2 variant is available in the Hong Kong. The device carries an HKD1,899 (around $245) price tag, according to GSM Arena.

Originally the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was released in two variants: 64GB internal storage priced at 1,699 Yuan and 128GB internal storage that will cost you 1,999 Yuan. However, only the 64GB model will be sold in Hong Kong at a price of HKD1, 899, as reported by The Mobile Indian.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 boasts a full metal body and a 6.4-inch full HD 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is equipped by 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506GPU which is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 carries a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 rear camera. On the front side, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 rear camera sits on the upper left of the device, along with Dual LED flashlight, a fingerprint scanner placed on its back panel, USB Type-C port on the behind with speaker holes, a headphone jack and an infrared port on the top.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system that will be wrapped under MIUI 8 and will be packed with a 5,300mAh battery. The battery comes with Quick charge 3.0 support with parallel charging. It also claims to offer two days of battery life and provides 68 percent charge in just 1 hour.  In addition, the device offers hybrid dual sim, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, GPS + GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2,  NFC, USB Type C, Accelerometer, Light sensor, Gyroscope, and Proximity sensor. It measures 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6mm and weighs 211 grams.
