OnePlus will reportedly release the latest software update to tackle the issue related to the OnePlus 5 camera's total lack of EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) when recording 4K video. The OnePlus team had hosted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit, in which the information related to this update was revealed.
One of the questions which are asked by a fan in the Reddit session was regarding the lack of EIS for 4K video recording. According to Carl Pei, the team was unable to implement EIS for 4K video recording before the launch. In its place, the team chose to focus on stabilization for 1080p video recording as well as for the front facing camera.
According to Go Android, recently, the new update of Oxygen of 4.5.3 carries all these cures with a fix for the Wi-Fi connection also. The OnePlus team is also working on the issues of Vodafone NL.
This problem was faced by the users of OnePlus 5, which has led the company to provide the new update with ESI. Previously, the videos taken from the OnePlus 5 used to be very shaky but after the update, the issue seems to be resolved.
However, Carl Pei has reassured customers that the OnePlus 5 will be receiving EIS for 4K video recording via a software update in the near future. Unfortunately, no time frame has been given. Also, the firm will be resolving a Wi-Fi issue that has been plaguing a number of OnePlus 5 model. Some owners have filed a complained that even if the Wi-Fi appears to be connected, the OnePlus 5 is unable to access the internet, as reported by NDTV.
Just like the camera issue, OnePlus is also planning to send out a software update to consumers in order to solve the problem. It should be noted that an update hit the OnePlus 5 a few hours back that brings a number of stability improvements and also fixes connectivity issues, though it doesn't fix any of the abovementioned issues.
