When Samsung launched the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in the U.S. by the end of May, a lot of people bought the new flagships. However, after a few days or weeks, some phone owners returned their units without using the device. Best Buy is offering these smartphones at discounted prices through its open box deals.

According to GSM Arena, the Galaxy S8 sells for $637.99, or $87 less than the regular retail price of $724.99. The Galaxy S8 Plus sells for $725.99, lower by $99. The two flagships are in excellent condition, look brand new, and include all the original accessories.

Android Central says the unlocked Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus could have been purchased as a gift and then returned to Best Buy by the recipient through the retailer’s return window. Despite the phone being unused, Best Buy cannot sell the two flagships as new units so it dropped the price under its open-box deal.

The tech website adds that there are enough of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus phones being sold that Best Buy is selling it online. There is no need to go to a Best Buy outlet. The retailer will even ship the phones for free under its standard shipping offer instead of its free two-day shipping.

Besides the lower price, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus feature an Infinity Display, great camera, futuristic design, and impressive power that it is considered the best phones of 2017. Buying an unlocked unit means there is no carrier bloatware which eats storage space, slows down the gadget, and gets in the way of the user. The owner is free to look for the best carrier. Since it is unlocked, the two Samsung flagships will work with all major carriers. Outside Best Buy’s open-box deals, Samsung.com offers financing options to divide the cost of the phone into monthly payments that are manageable.
