BlackBerry, in turn, started to push out on the same day the security patch for the BlackBerry PRIV, DTEK50, DTEK60, and KEYone. The update has several patches for vulnerabilities to the OS and BlackBerry’s changes to the system. According to Phone Arena, the BlackBerry Security Incident Response Team tweeted on June 6 that it has begun rolling out the June 2017 Security Patch for Android phones. These are for phones bought from the Shop BlackBerry website. However, for BlackBerry phones purchased from retailers or carriers, the owners must check and follow the update schedule provided by the phone retailers. Android Headlines reports that the media server, WiFi driver, and some parts of BlackBerry phones were among the vulnerabilities that the June 2017 Security Patch that Google did not mention. It is a small update at about 127MB. The tech website encourages BlackBerry phone owners to install the update as soon as it arrived on the smartphone. It warns that postponing the June 2017 Security Patch can make the BlackBerry phone vulnerable to various issues and cause more problems down the road. It only takes a few minutes to reboot the gadget since the patch must download and install quite quickly. Because BlackBerry is known for its timely updates and security, owners of the devices made by TCL are not surprised. The company, based in Ontario, Canada, is one of the first phone manufacturers to get security patches for its gadgets. There are months when BlackBerry is ahead of Google in the release of updates for its devices. To download the June 2017 Security Update, go to the Update Center of the BlackBerry device.
