However, smartphone maker has now confirmed via an official poster, that the Honor 9 will be launched on June 12 in China. According to Playful Droid, the poster roughly translates "Beautiful and Colorful" that could mean that the smartphone will release in different color variants. To recall, the Honor 9 is reported to come in Black, Blue, and Light Purple color options. The Honor 9 is said to release in three variants and now a new leak has claimed the pricing of the upcoming device. The 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant will cost Yuan 2499; the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage variant will be released with a price tag of Yuan 2899, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant will be priced at Yuan 3399. According to the some rumored specifications, the Honor 9 is reported to feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display and will be equipped with the latest Kirin 960 processor. On the camera side, the device is said to sport a dual rear camera setup that consists of 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors. On the front side, there will be an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. One could expect a 3100 mAh battery as well on the Honor 9, as reported by Android Authority. The Honor 9 smartphone was earlier reported to ditch the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack with USB Type-C port. However, the previously leaked images reveal that the flagship will feature a front-facing fingerprint sensor, which could also mean that it will ditch the 'Smart Key' feature. The fingerprint scanner is expected to be placed on the back panel of the device and the home button doubled up as a smart key to click the picture or to launch any app. After the official launch in Shanghai, the Honor 9 is expected to be announced in Berlin for the European market on June 27.
