When ‘Neverwinter’ Launches On July 25, ‘Tomb Of Annihilation’ Expansion Gets Some Dinosaurs By Vittorio Hernandez | Jun 05, 2017 12:50 PM EDT Thomas Foss, lead designer of “Neverwinter,” reveals that in “Tomb of Annihilation,” the next expansion of the game, there would be some dinosaurs. When the game launches on July 25, the expansion will add Port Nyanzaru, a new hub. Players will also get “Tomb of the Nine Gods,” a new end-game dungeon, and a brand new campaign set in the jungles of Chult. Gamers will be able to join Volo in hunting for exotic monsters in “Neverwinter,” according to Andy Wong, community manager of Perfect World Entertainment, PCGamer reported. The July 25 release date for “Neverwinter” is for PC. Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic World will announce another release date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, PlayStation Lifetime reported. It warns that the new end-game, “Dungeon: Tomb of the Nine Gods,” is filled with traps, puzzles, and doom. Gamers are also reminded when joining Volo’s hunt for exotic monsters that they are the best bait. According to the “Neverwinter” trailer, Harpers will seek to end the wickedness of a new death curse on Chult. He will deploy adventurers on an expedition to the land which is infested with Yuan-ti, undead, and dinosaurs. The adventure starts at Port Nyanzaru where the adventurers will explore different areas of Chult to find the evil behind the curse which annihilates the people of Faerun. The adventurers in “Neverwinter” have a choice of teaming up with their old friends such as Boo, Minsc, Volothamp Geddam, Celeste, and an unexpected ally. But before the roll out of the game’s next expansion, players of the game on console will get on June 20 a new content “Shroud of Souls.” They will also receive “The Celestial Stag,” a brand new rare mount which unlocks by using enchanted keys available in the Zen Market. Once a day, VIP members will receive a new key.
