The Galaxy J5 (2017) is currently available for pre-orders on several German online retailers and all of the specifications have now been revealed. While there is still no word from the company on its release date, a tweet by famous tipster suggests that the Galaxy J5 (2017) may launch today. Over this past weekend, tipster Roland Quandt tweeted revealing that the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) is now listed on Amazon France as well, carrying a €279 price tag. The said tweet also revealed that the device could be unveiled on June 5, according to GSM Arena. On the design front, there is nothing different in the phone except for the antenna bands. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) follows the same Samsung Galaxy J series design and have the home button embedded with the fingerprint sensor. On the rear side of the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017), there is the camera module with the flash and the logo. One difference is in the design of the antenna on the back that now curves upwards and downwards, instead of the traditional parallel bands, as reported by BGR. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) comes with a 5.2-inch HD AMOLED display with a 2.5D curved glass protection on top. The smartphone will most probably to run on Android Nougat out-of-the-box. Under the hood runs Samsung's octa-core Exynos chipset. Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) will be having 16GB internal storage option, which is expandable up to 256GB, with 2GB RAM. Both the front and rear cameras will share 13-megapixel resolution. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery. While the smartphone is listed in just black and gold colors on Amazon France, the German e-commerce portal Cyberport.de offers the phone in pink and blue in addition to black and gold. The colors could be region specific and there is no official word on the options Indians will be able to choose from.
