Now, the latest report claims that the said phablet will boast an Infinity Display just like the Galaxy S8 and will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The successor of Note 7, Galaxy Note8, has been in the news since the onset of this year. There have been numerous leaks and rumors regarding the phablet. The recent one suggests that the device will release earlier than its expected date, which is late August or early September. Moreover, since Google is supposed to launch the new operating system, Android O in Q3, it is highly unlikely that the Galaxy Note8 will run on Android O. So, the best guess from The Android Soul says that the device will come with Android Nougat 7.1.1 on board. According to the previous leaks, Samsung Galaxy Note8 is expected to feature Infinity display similar to the Samsung S8 and will sport the 6.3-inch display. The device will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC in the US and the Exynos 8895 chipset outside the US. Galaxy Note8 will also have 256GB of native storage, as reported by NDTV. The Galaxy Note8 is said to feature a dual camera setup on the rear side that will consist of a 12-megapixel wide-angle CIS supporting dual photodiode and a 13-megapixel telephoto CIS. The dual camera will support 3X optical zoom, come with dual 6P lenses, and support dual OIS as well. In the meantime, it's still unknown whether the Galaxy Note8 will feature an S Pen. However, Samsung has decided to issue a white paper on Galaxy Note 7 issue and is reportedly working on launching a refurbished version of Galaxy Note 7 aka Note FE that could be priced around $630.
