‘LawBreakers’ Launches Simultaneously On PC & PS4 At $30 By Vittorio Hernandez | May 24, 2017 06:42 AM EDT Console owners will no longer feel left out when the new game “LawBreakers” launches soon. The next game from Cliff Bleszinski, the creator of “Gears of War,” will be available simultaneously on PC and PlayStation 4, Boss Key Productions announced. According to Digital Trends, “LawBreakers” will run on any PS4 model. However, it is best played on PS4 Pro which enhances the game the most because the typical PS4 includes 4K resolution or 60 frames per second. After the gamers buy the new title for $30, all future content updates will be free and there will be no season pass-style program. Instead, “LawBreakers” will offer a Stash Box system with a variety of cosmetics for gamers. Bleszinski says the free maps or characters and it being a base game is his way of honoring the skills-based FPS games of the past. At the same time, it embraces the new and pushes the genre in its own way. He explains that messing with gravity and having it mess with gamers adds a dynamic vertical element which challenges players belonging to all skills levels to exceed their limits. The game creator says the price point is fair to players as well as the variety of styles of character role-play beyond the usual tank, sniper, and medic combination. Bleszinski shares that one of the challenges that Boss Key Productions faced in bringing “LawBreakers” to consoles is to adapt the keyboard and mouse controllers for a controller. It is a fairly significant difference. It was similar process when he developed the first “Gears of War” for Epic Games when he faced issues such as how much crosshair sticks to enemies when aiming using a controller, GameSpot reports. By “LawBreakers” not charging for DLC, he reaffirms charging for downloadable content has no place in modern online games. If there will be players with DLC and without DLC, it prevents the two groups from playing together, Bleszinski points out, according to Trusted Reviews.
