The company released the GoPro Hero 5 camera and GoPro Karma drone last year. The Karma drone had some flaws for which the company recalled the drones and re-launched it. However, the Karma drone did not receive the success as expected by the company. It is reported that Nick Woodman, founder, and CEO confirmed that the company would release GoPro Hero 6 action camera later this year. Woodman reportedly said that GoPro is working to release new cameras and accessories this year "and the new camera being Hero 6." According to Engadget, the GoPro is reportedly said of developing a novel way to record 360-degree videos with the multi-lens camera. Woodman referred to the spherical camera as the "ultimate GoPro." There are also rumors that the GoPro Hero 6 will arrive with virtual reality support, a 4K resolution, 60fps video recording, a slimmer design and a powerful battery for best photo shoots. Nick Woodman in an interview with the TechCrunch said that GoPro wants to make Hero 6 easier to share content with a feature that would let the GoPro Hero 6 upload photos and videos automatically to the user's smartphone. The company has achieved a great success after the launch of Hero 4 camera in 2014. However, the Hero 5 camera was not successful as its predecessor.
