Windows 10 Fall Creators Update Gets Exciting New Features

The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is here and it places a whole lot of features into the hands of users. The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is exactly what it sounds like, as it gives content creators importance and brings a whole bevy of content-creation features.

PCMag reports that a new creative app called Windows Story Remix has been created using the Universal Windows Platform, and this aims to build stories complete with audio-visual effects, themes, soundtracks, and transitions. The app uses Microsoft Graph and pulls in data from a range of sources. In order to create more complex video stories, users can use Windows Ink and add 3D objects to photos and videos to make the story more appealing.

The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update also gets a new design system which would allow developers to ink a more consistent look and feel across various device types, screen sizes, and UI interactions. This is called the Microsoft Fluent Design System, and the new system would allow for an all-inclusive cross-design experience across multiple platforms. The Microsoft Fluent Design System would integrate touch, ink, gaze and gesture and allow developers to modify the light, depth, motion, material and scale of an app.

According to The Guardian, Windows 10 also is aiming to be a central hub of home communication across all devices of all platforms. The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update would allow the OS to pull graph search information on people and conversations, projects and content from the cloud and create a seamless experience across Windows, Android, and iOS.

The Timeline feature of the Fall Creators Update would allow users to move through a timeline which displays their actions on the computer. Timeline can be used to access previously used files, application data and websites. The user can simply go back in time and use the features and apps. The Timeline feature is also architecture-neutral, which means this feature would work across devices.

The Pick Up Where You Left Off feature will allow the user to log off the central computer, and just start doing whatever task they were doing on the computer, this time on their mobile phone or laptop, should they want to migrate. Everything would be in-sync and there would be no data dependency.

There is also the Cloud Clipboard which will be shared between hardware. The Cloud Clipboard is completely platform-neutral and would allow users to copy paragraphs, photos, links and other content. The users can then choose to paste it into specific apps on other devices using the cloud.
