Google Pixel 2 Latest Geekbench Listing Reveal 'Taimen' To Come Featuring Android O & Snapdragon 835 By Harsh Soni h_soniji@rediffmail.com | May 14, 2017 07:08 PM EDT Three follow-ups on the Google Pixel smartphones are expected to release this year. Among them, the two codenamed Walleye and Muskie has already appeared in documents, while information about a larger Google Pixel 2 variant, codenamed Taimen, has just started doing round on the internet. And recently, it had its Geekbench scores leaked. According to the leaked Geekbench database, the upcoming Google Pixel 2 Taimen will be powerful Android smartphone from Google. The listing doesn't reveal any further information except for the fact that it will pack 4GB RAM and will run on the upcoming Android O version. According to its listing, Taimen has a single core score of 1804 and a multi-score of 6248. According to earlier rumors, Google Pixel 2 Taimen will be coming with a bigger display in comparison to Muskie and Walleye. In real, Taimen belongs to the Salmon family and are much bigger than the Muskie and Walleye fishes. The naming strategy of the Google Pixel 2 also suggests that Taimen might be the most expensive of the lot and supposedly to come with a waterproof body. The other two, Muskie and Walleye, will be featuring an improved camera housed in a water- and dust-resistant body, as reported by BGR. The Google Pixel 2 was seen tested with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, running the octa-core CPU at a clock speed of 1.9GHz. Fascinatingly, the smartphone was spotted to operate on Android O operating system, which is still in testing stage, as reported by Deccan Chronicle. These benchmark scores were achieved by a Google Pixel 2 prototype, but it's quite likely that the phone's performance will be roughly the same at launch. And now for the bad news is that launch of Google Pixel 2 isn't expected until much later this year. Stay tuned for more updated on Droid Report.
