There's a new photo depicting what could be the rear shell for the next-generation iPhone SE or iPhone 7S has surfaced on a Chinese social network Sina Weibo. The photo has been spread through over the internet.

According to Slash Leaks, there's no way of telling whether the photo was real or not, but it somehow appears to illustrate a bump-less cutout for a single-lens camera with another cutout for what might be a vertically-aligned LED flash. The document in the shared photo suggests the iPhone, codenamed N79, might have a strengthened Ion-X glass display like the Apple Watch. If ever this is real, the paperwork likely belongs to one of Apple's contract manufacturing partners in Taiwan such as Pegatron, Wistron, and Foxconn.

There's not much else that can be gained from the shared photo, aside from what it appears to be more of an iPhone 7-like design which can be a shift away from an iPhone 5S design if this was indeed for the iPhone SE. If ever this leaked photo is true, this would be the first next-generation iPhone SE design speculation we have seen so far this year, so Apple fanatics can treat it with a healthy dose of skepticism, click for the photo here.

Last year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities claimed that Apple will unlikely release a new iPhone SE in the first half of 2017 which suggests a refresh won't occur before the end of June. As noted by Weibo, if the timeline is accurate, Apple could be planning to announce the next iPhone SE alongside the tentatively named iPhone 7S, iPhone 7S Plus, and iPhone 8 this coming September.

Apple Company hasn't yet released any official statement regarding the alleged phones that will be revealed this September, given the original iPhone SE was launched in March 2016. Apple doubled the iPhone SE's storage capacities to 32GB and 128GB a few months ago. Stay tuned for more updates as the company will release new phones this year.
