LG X Power2 Global Rollout Kicks-off With Immense Battery By Harsh Soni h_soniji@rediffmail.com | May 10, 2017 05:51 AM EDT LG kicks off by rolling out its LG X power2 smartphone this month in markets around the world. The device has started shipping in the North America followed by key target markets in Asia, Europe, Latin America and other regions. Announced at MWC 2017, the LG X power2 draws its heritage instead from last year's X-phones. The LG X power is having its name not from processing power but from battery power. And like its precursor, the new LG X power2 sport an extra generous battery pack inside its otherwise "normal-sized" body. It might not exactly be a huge jump in capacity, from 4,100 mAh in last year's X power to the 4,500 mAh of the new LG X power2. However, every little bit counts, especially in this age of effortlessly drained smartphones. LG advertises that on "normal" usage of the LG X power2 can last 26 hours of talk time, 18 hours of video binging, or 9 hours of surfing the web, according to Slash gear. The LG X power2 is a mass-tier smartphone which targeted towards the heavy-duty users and comes with a 5.5 inch HD display. The LG X power2 comes with an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU and 13MP/5Mp camera combo. The smartphone comes with Android Nougat and has LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS connectivity options, as reported by News18. The latest LG X power2 has a 13-megapixel main camera and a wide-angle, 5-megapixel user-facing camera with selfie flash. LG says that the LG X power2 phone comes in black, gray, gold, and blue color variants. The LG X power2 obviously isn't going to provide to everyone's tastes but might appeal to those who value battery life and price more than any other feature. According to the company's website pricing and exact date of availability of the LG X power2 smartphone will be announced locally in each market.
