AMD Vega has been rumored and in news many times already but AMD has maintained its mum over the yet to be launched products. However, it will soon be changed on May 16, when the company will detail its products roadmap for 2017. Wccftech has received this exclusive scoop from their sources which are close to AMD and have confirmed that the said event will not be going to be a product launch event. AMD Vega will get its separate launch by the end of June. The top executives of the company including AMD CEO Lisa Su will be discussing AMD's long-term vision at the company's headquarters on 16 May. AMD Vega is all set to restate AMD's position in the market and it has already managed to make everyone excited before it is officially released. AMD Radeon RX Vega the next big thing in graphics card space for AMD, but the company has plans to take the things beyond, as reported by Tweak Town. The GPU architecture that will succeed AMD Vega in the next few years is called Navi GPU and it will be an important improvement over Vega. The unannounced AMD Vega GPUs is rumored to use HBM2 to offer better performance; with Navi, the focus will be on next gen memory and scalability. Navi will be the first GPU architecture to be built on Globalfoundries' 7nm FinFET that will be launched sometime in 2018-2019. Not only AMD Vega, but the new Zen CPUs announced earlier this year will also get its successor dubbed as Zen+. AMD had already confirmed that it was working on several future generations of CPUs and which will be launched over a period of 3 to 5 years. As for what to expect on May 16: A few more details on Vega, a revised GPU roadmap for Navi, with a tease of the 'next-gen' memory which AMD will be using on it, and the Zen+, which could be better detailed now that Ryzen is finally here. AMD will be detailing more about them and at the event scheduled for May 16th.
