Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4: The Rugged Smartphone Enters Switzerland By Rida | May 05, 2017 05:38 AM EDT Samsung pushes the Galaxy Xcover 4 smartphone into the Switzerland tech market. The smartphone was globally launched in March this year and it is well known for its rugged features. It is a smartphone that works in the extreme temperatures and has attained US military rating (standard MIL-STD 810 G). According to the Android Soul, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 is the successor of Galaxy Cover 3 smartphone that was famous for its extremely rugged features suitable for many environmental conditions. The current model is reported to have some refinements in the design and has IP68 water and dust resistance certification along with MIL-STD 810G certification. The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 is reported to come in only black color and it is posted on the official website of Samsung Switzerland. The price tag of the smartphone is not revealed yet. However, there are speculations that it will have almost same pricing seen in other countries of Europe. It is expected that the smartphone might have a price tag around €250. According to Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 smartphone sports a 4.99-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. In addition, the device packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256 GB via a microSD card. The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 features a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear having f/1.9 with geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama. The front face of the smartphone has a 5-megapixel front shooter having f/2.2 for selfies. The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 smartphone is powered by the 2,800-mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 is a single SIM. Connectivity options include microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi. Sensors on the phone include the proximity sensor, accelerometer, and ambient light sensor.
