Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) Receiving Android 7.0 Nougat Update

Samsung has started rolling out an Android 7.0 Nougat update to the users of Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016). The update is currently going out in Russia. A video posted shows complete details of the Nougat update on the smartphone.

According to the Sammobile, the update is seen carrying a firmware version A510FXXU4CQDK. In addition, a video posted below gives complete iteration of Android 7.0 Nougat in action on the device. It is reported that the user interface matches with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and other flagship devices. Therefore, it is expected that the features that will boom-in the smartphone after updating to the Android 7.0 Nougat would be the same as the other smartphones.

It is also reported that the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) smartphone users in Russia are receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update. There are expectations of Nougat update being released soon in the other regions.  The owners shall wait for a notification or can manually check the availability of the update by heading into the Settings » About device » Software update menu.

According to Forum Xda-developers, the list of changes in the Android 7.0 Nougat update is mentioned in a box named as 'code.' The changes that are listed are Deodex, removed KNOX, remove cleaned System, Call recording, Internet speed, Block recent, floating messages, AppLock, replace icons in calls and video capture. The form also mentions that the Android 7.0 Nougat update will arrive over-the-air.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) was launched with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. The device sports a 5.2-inch super AMOLED display having 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 2GB of Ram and 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 256GB. The smartphones feature a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. It also holds a 2,900mAh non-removable battery and measures 144.8mm high, 71mm wide and 7.3mm thick.
